Hatching Creativity

Creativity is a journey. It doesn’t happen all at once, and you’ll never fully arrive.

There will be times when inspiration strikes and you’ll have one idea after the next. And there will be times, even months, of creative silence.

But it’s all part of the process.

Creativity comes in waves and in seasons. Each one is necessary in the process of moving forward and creating better work.

We can’t fully create unless we also fully rest. And, I believe, we can’t fully rest unless we also allow ourselves to freely create.

Creativity is like breathing. In and out. We inhale to exhale and exhale to inhale. And each breath is its own cycle, we need one to fulfill the other.

So wherever you find yourself on your creative journey today, it’s okay to take it one step at a time. And it’s okay to fully embrace whatever season you find yourself in.
