It's taken me way longer than it should have to write this post. It's been an exhausting week. Actually, this whole month so far has been exhausting and difficult.
When you choose to prioritize creativity, other things in life will pop up to get in the way. The question isn't whether or not other things in life happen, but whether or not creativity is still worth showing up for.

How do you define success?
I’m of the opinion that success is something that changes based on our current season or area of life we’re evaluating.
Success looks different at different times and in different seasons. One person's success doesn't necessarily match another's.

Each new year comes with loss and new beginnings. Another year gone. Another page turned. Another chapter closed. But sometimes these turning pages come with hope for the future too.
This year I decided to begin with a creation challenge.

2021
Most of my work this year was created from a place of curiosity and experimentation. This year was defined by creative play and I didn’t put any expectations on myself for how the work turned out or how many finished pieces I produced.

2020 Overview
There's no denying that this past year was crazy and unexpected, but it was also such a huge year of growth and transition. Words can't even begin to capture the sadness and grief I felt, the grace I experienced, and the confusion of facing a new normal and a deeply broken world head on.

Empty My Hands
We so often have a tendency to try to hold onto things from our pasts and fear frequently takes center stage of our refusal to let go. I've found these three things are most often at the core.
